Salary
💰 CA$90,000 - CA$105,000 per year
About the role
- Own the full post-concept product lifecycle, including launch execution, performance monitoring, and end-of-life decisions.
- Act as the internal product advocate, ensuring alignment and visibility across brand, marketing, sales, and operations.
- Monitor product and inventory performance, identifying opportunities to accelerate movement, reposition, or exit underperforming SKUs.
- Apply a strong commercial lens to prioritize where to invest, relaunch, or discontinue products.
- Manage strategic relationships with third-party vendors and manufacturers to ensure quality, reliability, and delivery standards.
- Drive vendor accountability through clear expectations, performance metrics, and ongoing partnership management.
- Lead and project-manage cross-functional product initiatives such as relaunches, repositioning, and end-of-life transitions.
- Translate insights and decisions into clear actions, aligning teams toward shared outcomes.
- Bring structure to ambiguity by creating, improving, and scaling repeatable product and operational processes.
- Serve as a key point of coordination across teams when priorities shift or challenges arise.
- Play a key role on the Product Launch Taskforce, ensuring products are launched on time and with clear accountability.
- Lead launch-related working sessions, keeping teams aligned on milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively surface risks and escalate issues early to maintain launch momentum and transparency with leadership.
- Leverage product performance, inventory signals, and market inputs to generate clear, actionable insights.
- Use data to test assumptions, inform trade-offs, and influence product and lifecycle decisions.
- Connect detailed analysis to broader business strategy, supporting leadership decision-making.
- Incorporate market and competitive trends into ongoing product optimization and planning.
- Act as a culture carrier by modeling Fittes’ values in how you work and collaborate.
- Communicate proactively and transparently, especially when plans or timelines are at risk.
- Demonstrate resilience and a growth mindset—learning quickly and moving forward with clarity.
- Contribute positively to team initiatives, feedback cycles, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in product management, product operations, procurement, or sales strategy and you’re excited by roles that blend strategy with execution
- Have worked with physical products (think steel, plastic, manufacturing environments) and understand the realities of quality, sourcing, and production. This role is not a fit for candidates with tech/SaaS-only product experience
- Have been hands-on in product launches and lifecycle decisions, including making (and executing) the call to reposition, rationalize, or retire SKUs when it’s time
- Love turning messy data into a clear direction. You're deeply comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets, can run your own analyses (like aged inventory), and use insights to drive action
- Enjoy being the connector across teams, collaborating with product, marketing, sales, and operations to move work forward
- Are equally comfortable being a doer and a strategic thinker, you don’t wait for perfect conditions to start
- Know how to influence without authority, aligning indirect stakeholders like brand partners, ops teams, and external vendors
- Thrive in environments with ambiguity and momentum, and genuinely enjoy building new processes, taking ownership, and figuring things out as you go
