About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the go-to-market strategy for digital integrations with an Open API platform, API/APP marketplace, and developer portal ecosystems
  • Co-innovate with Fintechs, financial institutions, prospects, and internal stakeholders to create client value
  • Create, upgrade, and maintain enterprise banking services, frameworks, and interfaces
  • Design API schemas, event streams, middleware integration patterns, managed workflows, and orchestrations while adhering to industry standards
  • Own roadmaps for digital API portals and marketplace ecosystem workflows and dashboards
  • Translate Open API product features into user stories for development, product operations, product support, and client services
  • Shape digital open ecosystems and Agentic AI experiences through market insights, analysis, definition, and communication
  • Translate client product strategies into roadmap features and functional requirements for Open API platforms and products
  • Influence technology decisions for fintech Open API collaboration and marketplaces
  • Lead integrated developer portals and marketplace business models through market research, customer discovery, problem statements, use cases, opportunities, and differentiated feature sets
  • Enable go-to-market needs for open API marketplaces and manage goal-based product roadmaps and product launches
  • Identify competitive and alternative offerings, analyze market opportunities, support investment decisions, and develop market-winning strategies
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for Open API ecosystems and marketplaces
  • Prepare departments, documentation, and launch artifacts for external product general availability
  • Deliver product information to qualified buyers in support of sales efforts
  • Collaborate with Fintech partners to enable their apps for go-to-market
  • Research banking business procedures and data exchange processes to support standardized enterprise services
  • Plan and prepare API schema design documentation
  • Partner with API design and development teams to understand target users and develop user- and use-case-focused products
  • Provide program management across Product Development, DevOps, QA, datacenter/cloud providers, and consulting partners
  • Communicate product vision and customer voice to Software Engineering, Implementations, and stakeholders while managing trade-offs
  • Analyze data, change requests, and enhancements to support product decisions and prioritization
  • Work with Global Sourcing to identify technology and sales distribution partners and their product requirements
  • Advocate for the market and communicate how product vision meets market needs across Fiserv

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or related banking competency
  • 5+ years of product experience with digital banking experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across C-level, technical, and operational audiences
  • Thought leadership and ability to influence through collaboration
  • Experience creating release schedules, ideas, features, roadmaps, and prioritization supporting product release strategies
  • Success leading products through key lifecycle stages
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to build consensus across technology, business analysis, and project management teams
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features, including operating systems, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, and elastic scalability
  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with broad constituencies
  • Results orientation with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Ability to engage at the Financial Institution and Fintech client level
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in a technology, consulting, or Cloud-SaaS organization
  • 5+ years of banking industry experience preferred
  • 5+ years of Fintech and partnership management experience a plus
  • 2+ years of AI interaction using Claude, OpenAI, or other AI tools
  • Background developing applications for the financial services industry a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with multiple cloud computing platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Git, Swagger, XML Tool, Postman, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and AHA
  • Understanding of application development methodologies
  • Understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems
  • Experience as a team lead within an Agile Delivery Framework, managing prioritization and client escalations
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed, up to at least 20% of the time
