About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and evolve the global cybersecurity architecture framework across on-premises, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Lead secure architecture design patterns, reference models, and standards aligned to Zero Trust, Secure-by-Design, and Defense-in-Depth principles.
- Translate business, technology, and regulatory requirements into scalable security solutions across regions and platforms.
- Serve as the lead security architect for strategic initiatives including cloud migrations, SaaS adoption, and data center modernization.
- Establish enterprise security standards and partner with IT, business, compliance, risk, legal, audit, and DevSecOps teams to drive adoption.
- Lead threat modeling, security assessments, and control validation for technologies such as AI/ML, Kubernetes, APIs, IoT, and data platforms.
- Architect secure infrastructure patterns including segmentation, privileged access zones, hardened environments, and cloud landing zones.
- Provide leadership on security tooling and partner across engineering and architecture teams to embed security into platforms, pipelines, and operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and enterprise architecture, including 5+ years in a global or enterprise architect role.
- Deep experience securing on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Expertise in network security, identity and access management, encryption, segmentation, data protection, and security monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies such as VMware, Cisco, F5, firewalls, and identity stores.
- Familiarity with major regulatory and security frameworks including PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Experience with Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines, YAML/JSON, Python or Bash, Kubernetes security, and cloud-native policy controls.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field, or equivalent professional or military experience.
