About the role
- Gather and analyze business needs, translating them into clear functional and non-functional requirements
- Develop detailed requirement specifications and comprehensive technical documentation for software features
- Create project scoping materials, including Statements of Work (SOWs), defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and preparing time and cost estimates
- Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners, and stakeholders to promote transparency, mitigate impediments, and foster effective communication among cross-functional team members
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user guides
- Design user-friendly training materials and instructional videos to educate internal teams and end-users
- Develop detailed QA test plans, test cases, and scripts for new features and regression testing
- Execute test plans, conduct functional and regression testing, document test results, and manage defect tracking to resolve issues to meet acceptance criteria and compliance standards
Requirements
- 9+ years of professional experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Scrum Master in a software development environment
- Ability to articulate clear functional and non-functional requirements and create comprehensive project documentation, including SOWs and time/cost estimates
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, experience in developing test plans, writing test cases, and performing validation testing
- Proficiency in Jira (for issue/project tracking), Confluence (documentation), and Git (version control)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding complex business processes, especially in financial or payment systems, and proposing effective solutions
- Ability to multitask and perform various roles in a dynamic environment, maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Previous experience in financial services, banking, or payment processing software (What Would Be Great to Have)
- Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or CBAP (What Would Be Great to Have)
- Understanding of industry compliance and security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, data privacy laws) (What Would Be Great to Have)
- Familiarity with Postman (for API testing) and automation tools like Selenium (What Would Be Great to Have)
