About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and prioritize the backlog, ensuring alignment with product goals and client delivery timelines.
Collaborate with Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed user journeys and stories.
Facilitate product signoff on features before they are marked as Done in JIRA.
Provide subject matter expertise in Optis issuer processing functions, such as PCF, SSUPDATE, OCS, authorizations.
Participate in schema reviews and contribute to API documentation efforts, ensuring usability for internal and external consumers.
Engage with system architects and event streaming developers to capture user requirements related to event-based workflows, stream processing, and data availability.
Anticipate and manage cross-team dependencies involving APIs and integration layers and work proactively to mitigate delivery risks or technical blockers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of proven experience as a product owner, product manager, or similar role within an issuer processor, acquirer, or card network platform.
Experience with Optis issuer processing platform strongly preferred.
Experience collaborating with development teams working in both mainframe and Java-based environments.
Strong grasp of the full software development lifecycle, with expertise in translating business requirements into technical stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Skilled in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies; proficient in JIRA, Confluence, and similar work management tools.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a consistent track record of working effectively across product, engineering, QA, and client-facing teams.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities with attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving and delivery management.
Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
