About the role
- Lead Small Business Sales for Fiserv and Clover across the Western United States.
- Manage a regional sales team of 40–60 sales professionals, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- Execute against sales metrics and KPIs including client acquisition, activation rates, revenue targets, and FI partner/regional penetration goals.
- Serve as the primary advocate for feedback from FI partners and small business customers; translate insights into go-to-market improvements.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Strategy teams to inform product direction (healthcare payments solution mentioned).
- Present to financial institution partners in quarterly reviews on sales performance, new products, field issues and resolution.
- Drive creation of sales pipeline and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders for lead generation.
- Assign clients, territories and sales targets; plan and direct sales activities across the US to meet staffing and sales goals.
- Define and execute sales strategies to increase new merchant sales and add-on revenues; administer compensation.
- Travel approximately 50%+ across the US.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 12 years of sales and sales management experience.
- Experience selling merchant acquiring solutions to the SMB market.
- Experience managing a successful sales team selling direct to SMB merchants.
- Demonstrated success at leading field sales organizations of at least 50 sales professionals.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets on a consistent basis.
- Ability to travel 50%+ across the US.
