Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server environments
Supports data integrity, performance optimization, automation, and secure data transfer processes within SQL and Windows Server platforms
Install, configure, and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases
Write and optimize SQL queries to improve database performance
Manage backup, restore, and recovery plans
Implement and maintain database security protocols
Develop PowerShell and Python scripts for automating routine database tasks
Use monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace to track database health
Support SQL DBA and Windows Server administration

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
Experience ensuring optimal performance, scalability, high availability, performance tuning, automation, and data security
6+ years of experience with SQL Query Language
6+ years of experience with PowerShell and Python scripting for automation
6+ years of experience with Windows Server and basic network connectivity troubleshooting
4+ years of experience with Always On Availability Groups
4+ years of experience in building Azure databases
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
