About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and enhance orchestration and runbook‑driven automation with RunDeck
Leverage Nautobot for network and infrastructure source‑of‑truth and automation integrations (including but not limited to SNow CMDB)
Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures using Confluence
Monitor system performance and implement tuning and optimization measures
Drive enterprise automation initiatives using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies while meeting government security and compliance standards
Conduct system assessments and implement security controls
Provide advanced technical guidance and tier‑3 support to ensure system reliability
Stay current with trends in platform engineering, automation, and government‑aligned infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of Platform Automation experience
5+ years of experience working in an enterprise Windows & Linux environment
3+ years of experience with scripting experience with Python, YAML and/or PowerShell
Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper‑V, OCP and/or LinuxOne
6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
