About the role

  • Ensure the successful execution and completion of certification and testing functions for products, systems, processes, and files
  • Review and analyze requirements, create test scripts, analyze message formats, and perform low and high-level testing
  • Debug authorization, settlement, and communication protocol errors and message formats
  • Perform due diligence to effectively troubleshoot and investigate independently prior to engaging management or opening a defect request
  • Provide business and technical requirements to clients and internal resources, leading calls with clients, internal teams, and management
  • Manage moderately complex to complex projects under pressure and with minimal supervision, utilizing high amounts of independent discretion
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to management while updating necessary documentation and specifications
  • Maintain daily working relationships with internal business partners, including Compliance, Front and Back-end developers, TCoE, Product, and Integrated Partners
  • Provide testing and technical coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff
  • Manage rapid change in a diverse environment, which may include working weekends or after business hours to support client project requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military
  • Strong knowledge of transaction processing formats and industry association rules, highly preferred
  • Functional expertise in assigned areas of support (PC, Terminal, Vendor, or Internal Products) as well as telecommunications and operating systems
  • Technical proficiency in data file analysis; knowledge of programming, shell scripts, and JCL may be required
  • Buypass mainframe experience and a strong understanding of business processes and functions
  • Excellent Verbal Communication Skills to lead calls with Clients, Internal resources, and the Management team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project
  • Determination and drive to continually follow up and validate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Tandem Mainframe experience is a plus
  • Previous experience working with developers and TCoE in a matrixed corporate environment
  • Advanced knowledge of specific Brand (Visa/Mastercard) chargeback and fine structures
