About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and support event-driven systems for critical banking platforms
  • Develop and operate Kafka-based event pipelines at enterprise scale
  • Defining data and automation strategy
  • Build backend services and integrations using Python
  • Participate in system design, architecture reviews, and production support
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and client-facing teams
  • Write technical specs, documentation, and operational runbooks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
  • Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
  • Proficiency in Python, and Unix/Linux
  • Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, and/or MongoDB
  • Strong SQL and database design skills
  • Experience building RESTful or event-based services
  • Familiarity with automation processes and tools (e.g., JUnit)
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
