About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Claims Adjusters in the intake, documentation, and processing of transportation-related incidents (e.g., bus accidents, student injuries, property damage)
  • Collect, organize, and manage relevant documentation, including driver and police reports, student rosters, medical records, driver logs, and photographs
  • Receive and route calls, emails, and correspondence; professionally respond to internal and external inquiries (e.g., law firms, insurance companies, parents, medical offices)
  • Track and document compliance with transportation safety and reporting regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic claim files in the claims management system
  • Prepare and send claim-related communications such as letters, reports, and summaries
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previously Auto Claims experience is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or higher preferred)
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in insurance, logistics, or claims support
  • Familiarity with legal and transportation terminology/documents is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with claims management software (a plus, but not required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
