About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support sales regions in achieving loan volume and revenue targets
  • Prepare and submit new and renewing premium finance loans under a predefined volume threshold
  • Proactively follow up on renewals and lost quotes from the prior year
  • Submit loans for conversion and assist with credit and pricing requests
  • Provide customer service and assistance to brokers by phone and email
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with brokers representing FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada
  • Identify and manage existing high-priority brokers
  • Manage pricing margins and broker profitability
  • Analyze broker profitability to help determine broker segment
  • Apply credit risk and pricing analysis when assisting with underwriting requests
  • Provide brokers with training on systems and processes as required
  • Escalate new business opportunities, programs, and solutions to the Account Manager
  • Support arrears where there may be relationship impacts
  • Support new business development activity
  • Undertake periodic visits to brokers’ offices
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • 3–5 years of business experience
  • Commercial credit experience is an asset
  • Understanding of commercial insurance policies is an asset
  • Experience with an insurance brokering network is an asset
  • Understanding of various financial products is an asset
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, both verbal and written
