About the role

  • This role is a hybrid FP&A and Data Analytics position designed for a candidate who is equally comfortable working with financial statements and large datasets.
  • The Financial Data & FP&A Analyst will own the data foundation that underpins forecasting, investor reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • You will serve as the connective tissue between Finance, Strategy & Analytics, and Capital Markets assuring that financial conclusions are backed by clean, consistent, and well-structured data.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with loan- and portfolio-level data.
  • Assist in preparing board and investor reporting, ensuring financial narratives are supported by accurate data.
  • Partner with FP&A leadership on financing and capital-related analysis, including collateral performance and funding metrics.
  • Help translate portfolio performance into clear financial implications.
  • Design, maintain, and validate the loan collateral dataset across internal systems and third-party structured finance platforms.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, reconcile, and aggregate data from multiple source systems.
  • Own data quality checks, reconciliations, and controls to ensure datasets are audit- and investor-ready.
  • Partner with Strategy & Analytics to define single sources of truth for portfolio and financial reporting.
  • Standardize and automate recurring FP&A and investor reports using SQL, Excel, and scripting tools.
  • Build scalable analytical workflows that reduce manual effort and improve reporting speed and accuracy.
  • Analyze portfolio trends including yield, losses, prepayments, delinquencies, and macroeconomic impacts.
  • Convert complex financial and portfolio data into insights leadership can act on.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with large datasets including querying, validating, and reconciling data using SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or structured finance, or strong exposure to financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis, pivots, complex formulas).
  • Strong ability to translate data and technical concepts into clear financial insights.
  • Demonstrated experience turning business questions into structured analytical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in auto finance, consumer lending, or structured finance.
  • Preferred: Exposure to BI tools or cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Sigma, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with loan-level data, amortization, or collateral reporting.
  • Preferred: Experience with Python, R, or SAS for data manipulation or automation.
