About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect, design, and develop native iOS applications for First Due’s emergency response platform serving Fire and EMS agencies
- Design and implement offline-first architectures for reliable performance in low-connectivity emergency environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across US and India time zones
- Establish and maintain mobile CI/CD pipelines, coding standards, code review practices, and quality assurance processes
- Mentor developers on mobile best practices and First Due’s technology stack
- Drive sprint planning, technical estimations, velocity tracking, and contribute to the mobile technology roadmap
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development using Swift
- Exposure to Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components
- Knowledge of delivering mobile applications to both iOS and Android based on shared code
- Proven experience building mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications
- Ability to work with PM to understand customer requirements and deliver independently
- Ability to use Luciq/Firebase to troubleshoot and understand customer issues
- Strong understanding of MVVM and Clean Architecture
- Expertise integrating RESTful APIs, data synchronization, and secure authentication mechanisms
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and memory management skills
- Swift 5.x, SwiftUI, UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, and Background Tasks
- Xcode, Git, Figma, and TestFlight
- Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD automation tools
- RESTful services, JSON parsing, authentication and authorization
- XCTest and automated UI testing frameworks
- Authorization to work for any US employer in the United States
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Demonstrated ability to lead mobile development initiatives and establish engineering best practices is good to have
