About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop advanced enterprise-scale data analytics solutions to identify patterns and trends, analyze root cause, and improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility
  • Build analytics solutions using current and emerging techniques to deliver client insights and enable data-informed decisions, efficiencies, and innovation
  • Consult with business lines to understand objectives, key results, and solution requirements
  • Design optimized enterprise data analytics solutions for client, market, product, and operational functions
  • Develop and improve tabular models, analytics solutions, strategies, reporting, and visualizations
  • Lead Data Engagement initiatives using dynamic reports and dashboards driven by universal tabular models
  • Collaborate with technology teams to design and develop tabular models and data storage and access
  • Build relationships with business line managers and partner with stakeholders to scope data engagement solutions
  • Advise on data best practices, automation, technical capabilities, and efficiencies
  • Provide technical leadership to technology team members on data analytics projects
  • Support data governance, data literacy, and data stewardship initiatives
  • Lead assigned data governance initiatives and key results
  • Perform statistical and quantitative analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
  • Maintain knowledge of innovative data strategy and governance tools, industry best practices, data sources, platforms, models, and systems
  • Follow company policies, compliance procedures, and required training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree plus six years of related work experience, or equivalent
  • Experience building solutions using advanced analytics
  • Experience working with financial data
  • Research-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate the value of company data to leaders at all levels
  • Experience leading solution development with multiple contributors
  • Extensive experience with tabular data models
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • T-SQL query writing
  • DAX experience
  • Data visualization using Microsoft's BI stack
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification required; must be obtained within six months of hiring
  • Knowledge of R or Python preferred
  • Knowledge of Database, Data Engineering, DevOps, and API concepts
  • Ability to comply with FBT policies, procedures, and compliance training
