About the role
- Translates product strategy into detailed requirements
- Drive the ongoing advancement and planning of the product roadmap by working with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Development & individual clients to understand, identify, and define future needs and opportunities.
- Approves project scope and change requests.
- Execute the product roadmap by providing direction to the product development team for product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from external market activities, usage analysis, competitive response, and market research is reflected in future product releases
- Understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities by developing impactful positioning and customer messaging.
- Specifies research needed to obtain market information
- Builds deep product knowledge and articulates key product differentiators in an impactful way
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications, requirements, risks, and appraising new product ideas and/or product changes
- Define high level customer requirements for the entire customer experience including product features and functions, target markets, and pricing.
- May participate in creating product collateral to articulate benefits and value proposition of Company product lines.
- Assess market competition by cultivating knowledge of competitor products to identify product gaps, assess and address competitive threats, and gain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years’ directly related experience in product or services development
- Leadership presence with strong communication skills
- Experience in product development, requirements and risk analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, and financial planning and strategy
- Experience in working in cross functional highly matrixed environments
- Innovative and forward thinking
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
- Sound decision making, creativity, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and ensure cooperation across First American product companies
- Project management skills
- Business acumen, strategic agility, influence outcomes and change and negotiate for resources
- Successful track record designing, developing, and executing a wide range of projects
- Drives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback and ensures commitments are met.
