About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, maintain, and enhance SolarWinds Orion Platform and its modules (NPM, NTA, SAM, NCM, etc.).
Develop and configure custom dashboards, alerts, and reports for proactive monitoring.
Integrate SolarWinds with other infrastructure and incident management tools.
Perform health checks, patching, and upgrades of SolarWinds components.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting to streamline monitoring and operational workflows.
Automate repetitive system administration and monitoring tasks.
Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and toolchain automation initiatives.
Analyze system performance trends and optimize monitoring thresholds.
Recommend and implement improvements to tools architecture and monitoring coverage.
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and automation scripts.
Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
Train and mentor junior team members on tools usage and scripting best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
5–8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations, with at least 3 years in monitoring tools and automation.
Strong expertise in SolarWinds Orion Suite (NPM, SAM, NTA, NCM).
Proficiency in PowerShell , Python , Shell scripting , or VBScript.
Experience integrating SolarWinds with ServiceNow , Splunk , or API-based systems.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with network protocols , SNMP, WMI, and REST APIs.
Exposure to cloud monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, etc.) is a plus.
Certifications: CCNA , AWS/Azure/GCP associate, PCAP.
