About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and market engagement
- Build and manage relationships with financial advisers, practice principals, business owners, and other key stakeholders
- Conduct discovery meetings and tailored product demonstrations explaining business value and ROI
- Develop and execute account growth plans across an existing portfolio of adviser firms
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and close
- Collaborate with marketing, product, customer success, and sales operations teams to maximise client outcomes
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM records
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and challenges facing adviser businesses
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and revenue objectives
- Report to the Sales Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- A couple of years' solid business development experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or financial services
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Sales Executive, or similar client-facing commercial role
- Strong track record of achieving revenue targets through new business acquisition and account growth
- Experience managing multiple opportunities and sales cycles simultaneously
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to conduct consultative, value-based sales conversations with senior decision-makers
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment
- Strong commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and pipeline progression
- Knowledge of the UK financial advice, wealth management, mortgage, or broader financial services sector preferred
- Experience selling SaaS, data, technology, research, compliance, or subscription-based solutions preferred
- Understanding of adviser firms, adviser workflows, and challenges faced by financial advisers preferred
- Experience cross-selling multiple products and services within an existing client base preferred
- Familiarity with sales engagement, outreach, or call intelligence platforms preferred
- Legal right to work in the UK without time restrictions or future sponsorship
- Proactive, commercially minded, curious, adaptable, resilient, collaborative, and accountable approach to work
