About the role

  • **Due to an internal promotion, we are inviting applications for an Event Coordinator role. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wishing to take the next step in their professional event management career. ********Role Overview:** ****In this role as Event Coordinator you'll provide support to the Senior Event Manager and Senior Event Coordinator across all aspects of in-house and bespoke events. You will also attend events ensuring that sponsors and delegates have a positive experience.

Requirements

  • **Essential requirements:**
  • - Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the events industry
  • - Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • - Good spoken and written English is essential
  • - Comfortable on the telephone and in meetings - able to communicate confidently and effectively to a wide range of clients, including those at the most senior levels, in an appropriate and sensitive manner, through all forms of communication media

  • - Well-presented - as the Event Executive, you are encouraged to socialise with delegates at events and will act as an ambassador for the company

  • **Desirable requirements: **
  • - Familiarity with virtual event platforms and event apps, particularly Cvent, and CRM systems is a plus
  • **Your approach to work:**
  • - Have a genuine passion for events, able to work under pressure, while remaining calm and focused
  • - Great attention to detail and a keen multi-tasker. We run over 60 events per year, so good organisation and multi-tasking skills are essential
  • - Self-motivated – we are a very fast paced company and we are looking for someone who will take the initiative rather than wait for a to-do list
  • - We are a tight knit company so being a team player is essential

  • - This is a hybrid role where you'll work from our central London office with your team 3 days each week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our Owen James HQ is in Godalming so once a month you'll also work with colleagues from that office.
  • - Events - we typically run 60 in-person events a year which you are expected to attend (usually a 7am start) and the majority of them are based in London, so being a commutable distance from London is essential.
