About the role

  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate commercial initiatives, enabling scenario analysis and capital investment assessments
  • Lead monthly financial reviews and performance analysis (P&L and balance sheet)
  • Proactively highlight insights into potential improvements and risks and build commercial mindset in the business
  • Deliver overall financial performance for responsible business including achievement of revenue, profit and expense budgets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Meet financial reporting responsibilities ensuring results, budgets and forecasts are robust, appropriate and auditable
  • Ensure all major contracts are commercially reviewed and relevant risks identified
  • Prepare and on-time deliver Executive Committee management reporting combining variance explanation and insights
  • Develop strong influencing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize commercial impact
  • Lead and encourage collaboration between cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes and support sales, operations and growth initiatives
  • Lead development of alternative commercially viable propositions to stimulate profitable growth, drive operational efficiencies, manage assets and increase Free Cash Flow
  • Ensure clear processes to manage end-to-end ownership of customer deals/contracts
  • Coach and mentor finance talent for future success

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Finance/Accounting designation
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years related experience
  • 3-5 years in Business partnering roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights or conclusions from data and present to stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Leadership, coaching and motivational skills; demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Negotiation and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to drive continuous process improvement and adapt to changing environments
