About the role
- Entrepreneurial Platform Ownership: You own the SAP platform from a functional standpoint across modules (FICO, MM, SD) and lead the Functional Consultants & Architects. You treat the platform as your own business within FINN, advocating for our principles, optimizing costs, and monitoring system health.
- Strategic Lean Leadership: You challenge the status quo and push for lean, iterative solutions. You prioritize standard functionality and speed-to-value, ensuring we don't over-engineer but deliver "good enough" solutions fast to learn and adapt.
- Architectural Authority & Governance: You are taking the lead for architectural decisions. You support your Senior Functional Architect in enforcing a "Clean Core" philosophy, ensuring that every specification aligns with our long-term product vision and remains upgrade-safe.
- Operational Excellence & Communication: You ensure the platform runs like clockwork and financial core processes in SAP create business confidence. You keep stakeholders informed while driving modern DevOps practices and release stability.
- Make SAP speak FINN Tech: You collaborate with the Tech leadership team to make the SAP world accessible and closely align it to match system development as otherwise practiced within FINN Tech.
Requirements
- 8+ years of SAP Experience with a deep background in S/4HANA Finance (FICO, SD, MM). You have "grown up" as a functional expert but understand the engineering lifecycle intimately.
- Architectural Authority: You are capable of making high-stakes decisions on system architecture.
- Product Mindset: You treat the platform as a product. You understand that technical excellence is only valuable if it drives business agility.
- Resilience & Ambition: You thrive in a scale-up environment. You are willing to challenge the status quo and push for lean solutions over heavy, traditional SAP implementations.
- Excellent Communication and stakeholder management skills. You can explain complex technical risks to non-technical business leaders.
- Proven Leadership Experience: You have experience leading, mentoring, or managing cross-functional teams (functional & technical). You know how to build a culture of ownership and high performance.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Seeking permanent employment (no B2B contracts).
