About the role

  • Oversee the entire damage process: You will be responsible for the efficient, high-quality and cost-conscious handling of all vehicle damages in the defleeting process.
  • Coordinate assessments, ensure repair quality, and enable transparent, cost-aware decision-making.
  • Lead & develop your team: You will manage a team of 3–4 damage specialists, foster their professional development and conduct regular coaching, feedback and development discussions.
  • Create structures that ensure long-term quality and efficiency.
  • Partner & stakeholder management: You will work closely with assessors, repair shops, insurers and internal teams.
  • Subject-matter expertise in damage management: You will serve as the highest technical authority for vehicle damage evaluation.
  • You will be responsible for cost control, damage approvals and will contribute to contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Process optimization & scaling: You will analyze data, identify opportunities and drive the automation and standardization of our damage processes.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in damage management, claims operations, fleet operations or automotive operations — ideally with initial leadership experience.
  • Completed degree or vocational training, e.g., in automotive business, insurance, vehicle engineering or business administration.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the assessment, settlement and management of vehicle damage.
  • Strong process and quality awareness, a structured way of working and a passion for optimization.
  • Ability to act clearly, solution-focused and service-oriented in complex situations.
  • Excellent German (C2) and good English skills (B1).
