About the role

  • You will independently handle claims in the Financial Lines area (primarily D&O and Cyber)
  • You will assess claims from a coverage perspective and prepare recommendations for action
  • You will compile claim files and prepare claim notifications
  • You will support our partner brokers, direct clients and Finlex colleagues as the claims expert for questions about (potential) claims
  • You will conduct correspondence with insurers, insureds, partner brokers and lawyers and support settlement negotiations
  • You will issue legal opinions in cases of unjustified coverage denials
  • In addition, you will act as a point of contact for legal questions of all kinds, particularly in insurance law

Requirements

  • Experience handling Financial Lines claims at a broker, insurer or law firm
  • Solid legal education and knowledge of insurance law
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style (including in an agile environment)
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with complex (claims) facts and cases
  • Confident and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
