About the role

  • Support of partner brokers: You take professional responsibility for managing client relationships with our partner brokers.
  • Management of large accounts: You professionally manage large clients, either in cooperation with our partner brokers or directly.
  • Tendering: You conduct tender processes on and off our Finlex platform and develop complex insurance solutions.
  • Negotiation & cooperation: You negotiate with existing and prospective contractual partners (insurers, insurance brokers, corporate clients) and build and maintain strong, sustainable business relationships.
  • New client acquisition: You actively participate in and drive new client acquisition.
  • Representation: You represent Finlex at industry and client events, write specialist articles and blog posts, and deliver presentations, webinars, etc.
  • Technical point of contact: You act as a technical contact and “expertise provider” inside and outside the team.
  • Claims support: You support our claims team in handling cyber loss events.

Requirements

  • (Several years of) experience in independently managing strategic client relationships in the (commercial) insurance sector and in negotiating with risk carriers in the areas of Cyber, Financial Lines and/or Property
  • Completed degree in economics, law, IT security or a vocational qualification in insurance
  • Solid technical knowledge in (cyber) insurance and a strong awareness of insurance market requirements (ideally combined with a deep understanding of cyber risks and security)
  • Strong customer and sales orientation, assertiveness, negotiation skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities to explain complex issues clearly (primarily in German, but also in English)
  • Team player with commitment, the ability to work independently and in a structured manner, and good time and priority management
  • Affinity for platform technology, modern IT solutions and a startup mentality
  • A strong network in the German (cyber) insurance market would be a significant advantage
