About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support our Financial Advisers by assisting with strategic risk advice for their clients
- Use IRESS and XPlan to prepare insurance needs analysis, research and comparisons, and both cost comparison and recommended insurance quotes
- Conduct health, financial and occupational pre-assessments with insurers to determine the best outcome for clients
- Be a key point of contact for Advisers on personal insurance matters and educate Advisers on risk and insurance related matters
- Ensure risk strategies adhere to the Findex insurance guidelines and advice process manual, completing risk strategy notes to support advice
- Maintain up-to-date technical and product knowledge to stay abreast of legislative changes and industry developments, and to meet compliance requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of the Australian risk market
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Advanced knowledge of XPlan
- Advanced knowledge of the risk insurance and financial planning process
- Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent attention to detail
- A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive and results-oriented approach
- Able to manage a large WIP and competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and achieve outcomes with minimal supervision
