About the role
- Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis across a broad range of investments, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and managed funds. Assess fund managers across asset classes by evaluating investment strategy, performance, governance, risk, and operational quality.
- Support the asset allocation process through macroeconomic research, scenario analysis, and model optimisation. Assist in reviewing and refining portfolio construction strategies in line with investor objectives and risk profiles.
- Prepare regular reporting for APRA, trustees, and platform stakeholders, including stress testing (SPS530), compliance metrics, and investment governance materials. Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness across all deliverables.
- Provide analysis and documentation support related to corporate actions and listed securities, helping ensure timely and informed investment decision-making.
- Liaise with financial advisers to address client-specific investment queries, ensuring high-quality, tailored responses. Collaborate across teams to translate investment insights into actionable guidance.
- Assist with administrative work such as portfolio fact sheets, adviser and client material and investment committee reporting.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Finance or related fields.
- Understanding of economics in terms of policy impacts and changes in major macroeconomic variables.
- Working experience in Investment Management and or Asset Allocation
- Solid understanding of finance calculations and derivatives.
- Ability to integrate and analyse large volumes of (technical) information to provide concise and understandable investment advice.
- A curious and investigative mind and the ability to think laterally.
- A flexible, adaptable and team-oriented way of working.
- Highly numerate with the ability to interpret qualitative and statistical company, financial and other information from a variety of sources.
