About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Run product demonstrations and workshops for prospective clients
Create bespoke demos using FINBOURNE’s software toolkits, primarily Python and SQL with Claude Code
Lead architectural discussions with prospective clients
Ask questions and document prospective clients’ business requirements
Analyse business requirements and design future-state architectures using FINBOURNE’s platform
Run workshops and demos to pitch proposed solutions
Collaborate with Sales, Product and internal Engineering teams to design optimal solutions
Develop deep knowledge of FINBOURNE’s products and technical capabilities
Act as the primary technical advisor to the Sales Team and prospective clients
Run training sessions to upskill Sales Team colleagues
Relay prospective-client feedback to FINBOURNE’s Product team to influence the product roadmap

Requirements

What you’ll need

Comfortable presenting demos and workshops in person and online
Industry experience working in financial services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence discussing financial concepts with clients at COO and CTO level
Ability to write against APIs, primarily using Python and SQL, is beneficial
Experience working with a vendor, consultancy, bank, asset manager or asset servicer is advantageous
Understanding of buy-side workflows, including portfolio and order management, transaction lifecycle, transfer agency and fund accounting, is ideal
Technical pre-sales experience is preferred but not essential
Knowledge of Investment Books of Records, Accounting Books of Records, Portfolio Management Systems, Enterprise Data Management and Order Management Systems is advantageous
Knowledge of Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks is advantageous
Basic understanding of cloud and SaaS, particularly AWS or Azure
Git or other version control tools
