About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop a team of Application Operations Engineers supporting Finastra payment solutions
  • Deploy, upgrade, patch, and maintain payment solutions across containerized and virtual machine environments
  • Manage cloud delivery initiatives for client implementations, platform modernization, and cloud technology upgrades
  • Govern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Oversee 24x7x365 production operations in a follow-the-sun support model
  • Maintain 99.9% uptime SLAs and support incident management, disaster recovery testing, and continuous service improvement
  • Ensure compliance with security, resiliency, vulnerability management, audit, SOC2, and financial industry regulatory requirements
  • Lead cross-functional programs and teams, establish operational policies and standards, allocate resources, and drive execution
  • Resolve complex technical and operational challenges
  • Influence stakeholders and senior leaders to achieve strategic business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading cloud operations, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or application support teams in enterprise or financial services environments
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Knowledge of container technologies, virtualized infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, release management, and cloud-native deployment practices
  • Ability to manage mission-critical production environments with stringent uptime, availability, security, and disaster recovery requirements
  • Experience supporting large-scale payment systems, financial applications, or high-volume transaction processing platforms
  • Understanding of incident, problem, change, and service management processes in a 24x7 operational environment
  • Leadership experience managing multiple teams, programs, or complex technical initiatives across global organizations
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Applicants must be located in Atlanta, Mississauga - Avebury, or their immediate surrounding areas
  • Applicants currently residing in New York City or California will not be considered
