About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead full lifecycle implementation of core banking solutions
Deliver complex banking transformation projects in the Angolan market
Define project scope, timelines, and success metrics
Act as the primary point of contact for customer engagements
Coordinate internal teams, partners, and vendors
Manage data migration, integration, and deployment activities
Monitor project performance and provide clear progress reporting
Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance
Support business development and contribute to proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience in IT project and program management
Strong background in managing core banking implementations
Fluent Portuguese language skills
Deep understanding of the financial services domain
Demonstrated success operating in high‑pressure, multinational environments
Previous experience in Angola or similar emerging markets (preferred)
Background in financial institutions within West Africa (preferred)
Knowledge of the payments domain (preferred)
Experience with platforms such as Temenos, Oracle, or Finacle (preferred)
Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or ITIL (preferred)
