About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, configure, and manage databases in live environments.
  • Fine-tune database performance to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor database health and performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Deploy and manage Linux Azure Virtual Machines and PaaS services using DevOps pipelines.
  • Install and configure new releases, service packs, patches, and hot-fixes for Core Banking Solutions.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and incidents in live or implementation client environments.
  • Participate in periodic service reviews, providing updates and recommendations for improvements.
  • Create, review, and update knowledge-based articles in the Application Operations repository.
  • Collect and evaluate database performance metrics, providing feedback to Product & QA teams.
  • Work closely with Universal Banking business units to enhance monitoring practices and service improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Solid hands-on experience in public cloud infrastructure and services (preferably Microsoft Azure).
  • Solid experience with Oracle databases, specifically Oracle version 19c.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems (RHEL 8.X, 9.X).
  • Good knowledge or hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of IT operations, High Availability, Zone Redundancy, and Disaster Recovery architectures.
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with scripting languages: PL/SQL, Python, Bash.
  • Experience with DevOps technologies, preferably Azure DevOps.
