About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and deliver fraud policy workstreams through research, regulatory analysis, and evidence-based policy recommendations
- Provide specialist fraud policy expertise through technical advice, policy analysis, briefings, and guidance
- Support fraud policy development by assessing emerging risks, regulatory changes, and market trends
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with government bodies, industry representatives, and regulatory partners
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support coordinated policy development and implementation
- Contribute to team capability and knowledge sharing through collaboration, mentoring, and dissemination of best practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience drafting or shaping policy
- Prior experience of financial crime and the financial crime landscape
- Demonstrable stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience leading projects and supporting others
- Strong analytical skills, including analysis of complex quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to draw reasoned and logical inferences and reach robust, practical conclusions within tight deadlines
- Interest in policymaking and developing regulation that protects client assets and reduces harm in firm failures
- Collaborative and inclusive working style with knowledge sharing
- Experience delivering competing high-profile tasks under challenging targets and tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise appropriately and escalate where necessary
- Ability to identify and manage key stakeholders and build constructive relationships
- Ability to represent the FCA credibly
- Understanding of the UK financial services market and how firms operate within it
- Must hold or be required to obtain Security Check (SC) level vetting
