About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure user and organisational needs are researched, analysed and translated into product roadmaps, backlogs and delivery priorities
  • Manage the delivery of product strategy across a major product or portfolio of products, working closely with multidisciplinary delivery teams
  • Ensure prioritised business and user requirements are reflected in delivery plans, supporting the implementation of technical change and operational improvements
  • Oversee the commissioning and delivery of products and services that support strategic objectives across complex regulatory and business environments
  • Ensure alignment of product delivery with organisational blueprints, service standards, and broader transformation goals
  • Manage product budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and transparent financial oversight across programmes and projects
  • Coordinate the recharging of completed work to sponsoring business areas and project teams, maintaining accurate financial governance
  • Monitor and manage product risks, issues and technical debt, leading mitigation activities and supporting timely resolution of delivery challenges

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience working in a Product led role either as Product Manager or Product Owner
  • Proven experience of acting as a product owner to one or a number of Scrums
  • Proven experience leading a product team from problem to live service by delivering value to the organisation
  • Applying product management principles and methodologies to translate user and business needs into prioritised deliverables, product backlogs and defined MVP outcomes
  • Managing products through the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and development through to live operation, continuous improvement and retirement
  • Promoting agile ways of working, enabling iterative delivery, collaboration and flexibility in response to change within changing environments
  • Managing effective planning and road mapping activities, including forecasting, estimation, risk management, performance measurement and stakeholder communications
  • Identify, analyse and prioritise complex problems, determining root causes and implementing appropriate solutions and corrective actions
  • Maintaining user focus by using evidence-based insights to understand needs, shape product decisions and balance competing priorities
  • Operating effectively within technological, regulatory, financial, legal and policy constraints, ensuring compliance while challenging barriers where appropriate and delivering pragmatic outcomes
