About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and manage strong relationships with merchant partners, with at least one in-person meeting per month per merchant.
  • Generate and close new business opportunities in the home improvement sector.
  • Reactivate existing underperforming accounts assigned within the territory.
  • Leverage in-depth product knowledge and sales guidance to drive merchant activity.
  • Regularly update and support partners on Financeit’s program and processes.
  • Teach businesses how to use the suite of tools to position financing options and present monthly payment plans.
  • Organize and lead regular training and coaching sessions for merchants.
  • Ensure compliance with approval requirements and risk management protocols.
  • Provide follow-up through daily and weekly sales activity reports.
  • Produce reports, analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Escalate process and system gaps to the appropriate management levels.
  • Achieve individual and team targets on a monthly basis.
  • Spend at least 30% of working time in the field and complete required travel.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College diploma (DEC), bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of practical experience in direct sales and customer relationship management.
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer lending, SaaS, or home improvement.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
  • Demonstrated expertise in successfully managing B2B sales and service relationships is an asset.
  • Experience using CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must reside in Quebec, Canada.
  • Successful completion of background, credit, and other required checks.
