About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design process from concept to implementation, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and design specifications.
- Apply user-centered design principles to create solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives.
- Contribute to and maintain Filevine's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, iterate on solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, review design work, and help establish best practices within the design team.
- Participate in and sometimes lead user research activities to validate design decisions and gather insights for future improvements.
- Analyze user feedback and product metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and experiences.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, or legal technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience designing complex workflows.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite), understanding of design systems, and familiarity with front-end development principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong collaboration skills, and the capacity to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Experience designing for professional users and complex workflows; familiarity with legal processes is a plus.
- Preference for candidates who reside in EST timezone in order to support our EU team members.
