About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Relationship Managers and ensure adherence to corporate policy
  • Provide credit and underwriting review and over-limit credit approval
  • Support and direct cross-selling efforts
  • Solicit participations in clients' public debt issuance when permitted by credit ratings
  • Manage the sales process in a specific geographic marketing area
  • Maintain primary relationship contact for an existing customer portfolio
  • Facilitate cross-selling of the bank's services and primary banking relationships
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Meet or exceed compensation-plan goals
  • Monitor customer performance, abilities, industry, documentation and reporting to assess loan risk
  • Participate in community affairs and projects promoting the bank
  • Provide employee feedback, development opportunities, talent-pool development, succession planning, recognition and rewards
  • Identify, assess, manage, monitor and report risks within the Bank's risk appetite

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 9+ years of experience in credit training and underwriting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiating experience
  • Word and Excel experience
  • Ability to manage credit, underwriting and loan-risk review responsibilities
