About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service
  • Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs
  • Recommend appropriate Retail consumer and small business products and services
  • Proactively contact customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews using CAMP and approved marketing tools
  • Cross-sell to existing customers and conduct directed outside sales activities
  • Establish relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment business partners and refer customers when appropriate
  • Meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals and support revenue growth
  • Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes
  • Promote customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues
  • Open and service Retail products while following policies and procedures
  • Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing
  • Participate in Financial Center or Bank Mart opening and closing processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and mitigate fraud and risk
  • Travel within the affiliate for training and attend classroom training outside the affiliate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or work experience providing transferable skills, or a combination of education and experience
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Ability to develop comfort with sales activities for acquiring new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-selling to established customers
  • Understanding of advanced math functions for analyzing credit and financial information
  • Professional appearance and verbal/written communication
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures and exercise sound judgment
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration required at employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Ability to travel within the affiliate for training
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Ability to travel outside the affiliate for classroom training
  • Ability to work in a normal office environment with extended computer-screen viewing
