About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the entire transaction documentation and closing process for Equipment Finance transactions
  • Participate actively on deal teams with clients, relationship managers, portfolio managers, asset managers and pricing managers
  • Manage and prioritize work queues for new lease/loan transactions
  • Manage work-in-progress within the closing calendar and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure transactions are documented and closed according to credit and asset management approval conditions
  • Determine, obtain and analyze due diligence items, including KYC requirements, UCC searches, insurance, corporate documents, assignments, UCC filings, invoices, proof of payment, MSO/titles and wire instructions
  • Prepare documentation in compliance with transaction terms
  • Obtain accounting, tax, pricing and legal approvals
  • Determine whether legal counsel is needed for transaction issues and unresolved legal matters
  • Confirm underwriting, pricing and equipment management approval conditions are satisfied before funding
  • Resolve deficiencies and escalate disputes when necessary
  • Prepare ACE transaction and funding communications for wire, deposit account and check payments
  • Ensure lien and ownership perfection filings and obtain applicable subordinations/releases
  • Coordinate interim draws
  • Board lease/loan transactions into the accounting system
  • Follow up on outstanding items and meet departmental goals and service standards
  • Escalate issues, participate in assigned projects and suggest efficiency improvements
  • Handle loans, finance leases, tax leases, synthetic leases, interim financing, municipal transactions, leverage leases, rail financing and syndicated transactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years’ experience with loan documentation, with expertise in due diligence and perfection processes preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of loan structures and documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of loan documentation, collateral, lien perfection, UCC searches and vehicle titling preferred
  • Working knowledge of bank accounting/boarding systems
  • Working knowledge of bank policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Solid decision-making skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with corporate customers and peers
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
