About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the development and execution of the Credit Risk Review Continuous Review program for assigned Commercial or Consumer lines of business
  • Evaluate credit risk management processes, loan policy and regulatory compliance, problem asset administration, impairments and charge-offs
  • Review credit quality and trends across portfolios, industry sectors and products
  • Identify emerging risks
  • Attend meetings with business leaders, regulators and external auditors
  • Establish risk-based business plans and update them throughout the year
  • Complete continuous review activities and participate in horizontal, targeted and portfolio reviews
  • Present review activities and results and prepare quarterly and annual summaries
  • Analyze portfolio strategies, risk considerations, quality trends and open issues
  • Challenge and advise business leaders on credit risk practices, emerging risks and portfolio trends
  • Publish reports summarizing review results, issues, observations and recommendations
  • Manage open issues, observations, recommendations and action plans
  • Review risk ratings and accrual status for Commercial roles
  • Complete quality assurance reviews and support the CRR quality assurance program
  • Recommend process improvements and efficiencies
  • Share findings and emerging risks with Internal Audit and other Risk functions
  • Participate in acquisition due diligence and special projects
  • Assist in recruiting qualified CRR candidates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field
  • Minimum of 10 years lending and/or credit related experience
  • Credit Risk Review, loan review or regulatory agency experience preferred
  • Sound leadership, interpersonal, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when interfacing with senior business leaders, regulators, external auditors and peers
  • Solid project management and presentation skills
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills
  • Advanced ability to interpret data from applications and database tools and determine required actions for Consumer roles
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and related PC applications
  • Experience in Access, Business Objects and SAS desirable for Consumer roles
