About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Completes daily duties of underwriting and monitoring credit while performing analytical activities and identifying risks or issues
- Drafts credit approval documents and review memos for loans and other ancillary products
- Prepares succinct credit approval memos with minimal errors
- Completes ongoing portfolio monitoring, including covenant tracking and financial statement reviews
- Identifies and determines monitoring analysis activities required
- Verifies covenants and defines updates needed on ticklers
- Monitors covenant completion and tracks past due or out of compliance covenants and recommends appropriate course of action
- Responsible for understanding and evaluating completed spreads to determine necessary edits
- Generates and provides various pipeline and portfolio reporting as needed to credit leadership
- Prepares Criticized Period Reviews reports with oversight
- Responsible for running projection models
- Ensures accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of credit data across internal systems and reports
- Identifies emerging risks or negative trends and escalates appropriately
- Maintains a working knowledge of Bancorp credit policies, guidelines and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting)
- 2+ years of Commercial Banking experience.
- Sound Financial and risk analysis understanding, including the ability to develop financial models
- Extensive Knowledge of banking products and services
- Knowledge of corporate business structure and legal documents
- General knowledge of U.S. government and regulation
- Proficiency in internal banking applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office software.
