About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans and underwriting transactions.
  • Accountability for ongoing review and analysis of financial statements and proactive portfolio monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Covenant structuring and analysis, collateral evaluation, risk rating assessment, and preparation of credit recommendations.
  • Responsible and accountable for risk management in line with the Bank’s risk appetite.
  • Conduct monitoring actions, periodic deal reviews, and execute decisions to renew or modify deals.
  • Analyze historical financials and projections for risk ratings and credit problems.
  • Manage underwriting, approval, and documentation processes for various transactions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in portfolio management, commercial banking, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, credit analysis, portfolio management, structuring, underwriting, and legal documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional presence (client-facing).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and risk partners.
  • Expertise in financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using effective problem solving.
  • Proficient in technology and ability to learn new applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
