About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide end-to-end accountability for the stability, scalability, and performance of data obfuscation services
Oversee production-to-non-production data provisioning processes across platforms
Serve as the final escalation point for critical incidents, ensuring effective resolution and root cause remediation
Lead continuous improvement of SLAs, automation, and operational resiliency
Serve as the highest-level SME for data obfuscation techniques and tools (e.g., IBM Optim)
Provide architectural oversight across mainframe, distributed, and hybrid ecosystems
Ensure solutions maintain data integrity, referential consistency, and usability
Guide evolution of tools and platforms to improve efficiency, scalability, and sustainability

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience in data engineering, database, or data security, with significant depth in data obfuscation/masking
Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-scale operational platforms in a run-the-shop capacity
Expert knowledge of data masking techniques (e.g., tokenization, encryption, substitution, data shuffling)
Deep hands-on experience with enterprise data masking tools (IBM Optim or equivalent)
Strong experience across mainframe (DB2 z/OS, batch processing) and distributed systems
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and hybrid architecture
Experience driving operational excellence, incident management, and continuous improvement
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
