About the role
- Lead the identification and integration of cutting-edge AI technologies into cyber detection, response, and intelligence workflows.
- Architect and prototype novel cyber solutions, APIs, and automation frameworks that challenge conventional approaches.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, helping shape the future direction of the organization’s cyber capabilities.
- Collaborate across engineering, threat intelligence, and operations teams to ensure alignment and continuity in telemetry and control strategies.
- Develop representative detections and threat models to validate new approaches and train internal teams.
- Maintain deep awareness of emerging technologies, adversary tradecraft, and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Champion a product mindset — driving solutions that are scalable, measurable, and impactful.
- Serve as a SME security engineer/consultant on projects.
- Participate in conducting security research on threats and remediation techniques/ technology, make recommendations to the IS/IT teams and oversee their implementation.
- Mentor more junior members of the team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 8 years in hands-on engineering roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in detection engineering, threat hunting, and cyber intelligence.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application in cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and drive change across complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, telemetry pipelines, and security architecture.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent are preferred.
- Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.
- Mentor junior engineers and/or analysts.
- Strong candidate identified.
