About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages fixed income assets for one or more fixed income strategies across Wealth & Asset Management
- Operates within established investment policy guidelines providing investment management, client service, and support of new business efforts
- Assists more senior Fixed Income Portfolio Managers with major accounts
- Responsible and accountable for risk by exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures as defined
- Implements policies and programs approved by management and the Investment Committee
- Provides support with marketing and relationship management efforts
- Builds awareness of new investment strategies, techniques, and products through regular contact with other industry professionals, and through internal and external research
- Invests fixed income assets according to the applicable investment policy statement
- Assists more senior Fixed Income Portfolio Managers with larger, more complex relationships
- Conducts and communicates sector and security research analysis
- Aids in the formation and execution of investment strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required in a related field
- Advanced degree, such as MBA encouraged
- Professional certification such as a CFA encouraged
- Three or more years’ investment experience, including investment decision-making
- Solid written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Effective qualitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in an environment that stresses both individual accountability and team based performance
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
