About the role
- Assists in identifying and executing process improvements, documentation enhancements, and/or conversions for projects impacting Operations.
- Coordinate business requirements definition, development, testing, implementation and support for new and existing systems by working with partners within Operations, IT, and Bancorp Lines of Business.
- Plan, Test, and implement new applications, enhancements and/or conversions.
- Research and execute process improvements, documentation enhancements, and system control improvements to enhance Processing capabilities and minimize risk.
- Lead all project work, including analysis, requirements definition and testing as requested.
- Partner with the technical areas in the research and resolution of complex system and process problems.
- Serve as primary contact for department in vendor relationship management, including service, problems and billing.
- Review operational procedures and methods and recommend changes for Improvement with an emphasis on automation and efficiency.
- Serve as primary administrator for databases and applications used in the department, including advanced maintenance, metric Creation, and risk management.
- Assist in Monitoring system and operational Controls identifying areas of risk and suggesting possible improvements.
- design and Build risk dashboards as required.
- Provide Support for department Administration in the M&A process for divisional functions including due diligence, pre-conversion, conversion, and post-conversion ensuring that all processes, tasks and analyses are performed according to Fifth Third standards.
- Other projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in banking, financial services or related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of project management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with discretion.
- Ability to persuasively Communicate ideas to other area managers and upper management.
- High level of analytical and technical skills required to interpret and Analyze system data.
- Deadline and task-driven.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Advanced PC skills, specifically with Word, and Excel spreadsheets, downloading, importing and exporting files.
