About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responding to customer enquiries and resolving complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Assessing and processing applications for events that impact the road network.
Assessing and approving Temporary Traffic Restriction Orders.
Liaising with contractors undertaking works on the road network.
Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
Assessing and processing road occupation applications and carrying out enforcement activities in accordance with the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
Assisting with the administration, licensing, management and enforcement of activities affecting the road network under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
Undertaking other duties consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the post as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Educated to SCQF Level 5, including National 5s or SVQ Level 2 qualifications, or equivalent, with Mathematics and English at Level 3 or above.
HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in Roads Network Management or a related operational environment.
