About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work independently or as part of a design team, carrying out electrical engineering duties
  • Produce technical design solutions on various building projects from inception to completion
  • Undertake duties including site surveying, site inspections, design and working drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, contract documents, design calculations, assessment and reporting
  • Liaise with statutory bodies as required
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, regulations and industry codes of practice and standards
  • Work as Contract Administrator or consultant to Lead Designer/Contract Administrator
  • Liaise with clients in the compilation and development of the brief and prepare feasibility studies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of SCQF 7 and HNC in an appropriate Electrical Engineering area
  • Ability to carry out Contract Administration Duties
  • Significant experience of working within a Building Services Electrical Engineering Design Role
  • Good Electrical Engineering knowledge
  • Ability to keep abreast of changes in legislation, regulation and practice that impact on electrical engineering and safety
