About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide specialist technical and business expertise.
Support the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of Oracle Cloud solutions.
Work closely with colleagues, subject matter experts, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver system enhancements.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
Take a leading role in the analysis, design and implementation of system improvements and new functionality.
Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate these into practical solutions.
Provide specialist business and technical knowledge across Oracle Cloud and related technologies.
Support Oracle quarterly releases, testing activity and business readiness.
Develop and maintain integrations, workflows, reports, security configurations and system documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement activity that improves service delivery and maximises the benefits of the Oracle Strategic Platform.
Liaise with third-party suppliers and support providers where required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Education to SCQF Level 7 in a computing, systems or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience of supporting, developing or implementing business systems in a complex environment.
Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Strong technical skills, preferably gained in an Oracle environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify workable solutions.
Experience producing clear technical, user and support documentation.
Communication skills that support effective advising, explaining and working with technical and non-technical colleagues.
The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Experience of Oracle Cloud applications, ERP systems, systems integration, reporting solutions or low-code technologies would be advantageous.
