About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide specialist technical and business expertise.
  • Support the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Work closely with colleagues, subject matter experts, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
  • Take a leading role in the analysis, design and implementation of system improvements and new functionality.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate these into practical solutions.
  • Provide specialist business and technical knowledge across Oracle Cloud and related technologies.
  • Support Oracle quarterly releases, testing activity and business readiness.
  • Develop and maintain integrations, workflows, reports, security configurations and system documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activity that improves service delivery and maximises the benefits of the Oracle Strategic Platform.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and support providers where required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education to SCQF Level 7 in a computing, systems or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience of supporting, developing or implementing business systems in a complex environment.
  • Experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong technical skills, preferably gained in an Oracle environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify workable solutions.
  • Experience producing clear technical, user and support documentation.
  • Communication skills that support effective advising, explaining and working with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience of Oracle Cloud applications, ERP systems, systems integration, reporting solutions or low-code technologies would be advantageous.
