About the role

  • The AI Automation Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools and AI-driven solutions to simplify and streamline administrative tasks across Fieldstone’s internal teams. Design, build, and deploy automation scripts, bots, and AI-powered applications to reduce manual administrative workload. Integrate automation tools with internal systems (e.g., HRIS, Cortex, Smartsheet, Deltek, etc.) where applicable. Maintain and improve existing automation tools, ensuring reliability and scalability. Leverage AI and machine learning frameworks (such as natural language processing and large language models) to create solutions that support document handling, reporting, and communication tasks. Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to test and demonstrate new automation opportunities. Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and other internal departments to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that align with team needs. Provide training and documentation to ensure employees can effectively use automation tools. Ensure automation solutions follow data security and compliance requirements. Work with IT to connect automation workflows to existing systems and databases. Monitor tool usage and collect feedback to improve user experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 3–5+ years of programming experience, with a focus on automation and/or AI development. Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages used for automation. Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI, etc.) and APIs. Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, Smartsheet automation, etc.). Strong understanding of API integrations and data pipelines. Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
