About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for day-to-day operations associated with asphalt plant supervision and asphalt production.
- Direct and coordinate activities related to the production of asphalt for internal and external customers.
- Support daily operations across multiple asphalt plant facilities.
- Promote safe work practices and assist with safety meetings, inspections, and compliance efforts.
- Help review project requirements and support asphalt mix design and quality control processes.
- Coordinate material testing and monitor results with guidance from technical services.
- Assist with production scheduling, plant maintenance planning, and staffing coordination.
- Help manage material supply needs to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice processing for plant operations.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for plant personnel.
- Assist with securing necessary permits and coordinating general plant site maintenance.
- Work with subcontractors and internal teams to support smooth plant operations.
- Perform additional duties related to asphalt plant operations as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Safety-focused with a willingness to learn OSHA/MSHA requirements and company procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
