About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft and execute Fidelity’s Pre-Approved Plan Document
  • Interpret plan provisions from outside plan documents and identify potential document and operational integrity issues
  • Complete, negotiate, and finalize client Service Agreements with Fidelity
  • Analyze plan documents for compatibility with Fidelity’s Pre-Approved Plan Document
  • Identify IRC Section 411(d)(6) protected benefits and ensure timely amendments and updates for legal and regulatory changes
  • Review plan provisions and Fidelity services with employers, consultants, and attorneys to facilitate plan feature selection
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize Pre-Approved Adoption Agreements and Service Agreements
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and accomplishments to the department and business partners
  • Review and negotiate document exceptions and service exceptions
  • Sign documents on behalf of FMTC and Fidelity Workplace Services
  • Participate in process improvement and companywide initiatives
  • Work on conversions and corporate actions for plans across all market segments
  • Collaborate with employers, consultants, advisors, attorneys, and internal business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous Defined Contribution retirement plan experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of ERISA and regulatory issues, especially those related to 401(k)/403(b) plans
  • College Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • CPA, CEBS, ERPA, or ASPPA designation(s) preferred
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and ability to articulate a compelling, succinct point of view
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Plan Central, and XTRAC
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously using proper time management and judgment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and client-management abilities
  • Ability to apply learning and comprehend and explain technical concepts
